Lake Bell Biography
Lake Bell, and yes, that is her real name, was born in New York City on March
24, 1979. In her teens, she moved to Vero Beach, Florida, but acting was in
her blood.
She then set off to London, to attend the esteemed Rose Bruford College
of Speech and Drama, where she learned the techniques of acting and dance.
She also appeared in many stage dramas and productions during her stint. In
2002 she graduated and went back to Los Angeles to use her new found skills.
She appeared in several films including Slammed, Speakeasy, and War Stories
with Jeff Goldblum when she returned honing her skills.
Then she landed the role opposite Alicia Silverstone in the short lived TV
series Miss Match. The show was a bomb, but that didn't keep Lake from getting
to show her TV talents and she was picked up as a guest appearance on the
Practice as Sally Heep. The role was so well done, that even though she
thought she flubbed the audition, the character and her were picked up by
Boston Legal for the 2004-2005 seasons.
She then moved to Wilmington, NC (home of many TV shows including Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill)
to start her new show which is currently running,
a science fiction series called Surface. She also found her husband in Wilmington
as well and can enjoy the fact that the show was picked up for the full season.
Her hobbies include painting, drawing, and is an avid animal rights activist. She
also has a Blue Nosed Staffordshire Terrier named Margaret.
She also has "The Hillside Strangler" set for a 2006 release in the works as well.
